Always happy with a Birkenstock! Never failed to please yet and this pair have lived up to their high standards as was expected. These are all year round sandals which have for me made slippers a thing of the past.
Can’t go wrong with Birkenstock. My last pair have been in constant use for 20 years – bought in Colarado – and still used round the house and garden. These new black patent ones are brilliant – a bit classier than my old brown nubuck.
What can I say…this is the 5th pair of Birkenstocks we’ve had and you just can’t beat them. We always get a size down to normal as they are usually that bit bigger but that’s us. I’m usually a UK 5 but get the 37(4). These are great for men although it has to be said that I have also worn them. My husband is petite so we have similar size feet. Best summer shoes you’ll ever find I think and can walk miles in them.
I bought these because they had adjustable straps and also because the company has a good reputation. I wasn’t disappointed. They are very well made and the footbed is very firm – perhaps a bit too firm for some people. The toe grips and arch support are well placed, although for me this is a problem because I have a bunion on my right foot which pushes my toes at an angle and therefore away from the grip. This is my fault, nothing to do with the sandals – the left one fits perfectly.
Comfort, fit, durability – what more can I say? The usual Birkenstock high quality. Overall EXCELLENT !
